According to data from the Brazilian Association of Automobile Dealers, the total sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Brazil in April were 208000 units, an increase of 37% compared to the same period last year. Fiat, Volkswagen, and General Motors accounted for the top three with a combined 50% share.

From a total perspective, electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles from Chinese car manufacturers are becoming increasingly popular in Brazil.
