On August 27, China fuel cell technology innovation center was officially listed in Weifang, Shandong Province, which is another breakthrough in the construction of fuel cell technology innovation platform and large-scale demonstration application of hydrogen energy.
It is reported that the China fuel cell technology innovation center, with Weicai power as the main body, has cooperated with leading enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes in the industrial chain such as Tsinghua University, Dahua Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, SINOTRUK, Shaanxi heavy automobile, Shandong Guohui, Zhongtong bus, Linde forklift, etc. to build a technology innovation system for production, learning and research.
The center takes the research and development of key technologies of fuel cells as its core mission, focuses on transportation, engineering machinery, energy storage, power generation and other fields, focuses on the research of common key technologies of fuel cells, application development technology, test and evaluation technology and related R & D platform construction, undertakes major special projects such as the national industrialization technology and application of fuel cell engines and commercial vehicles, and promotes the industrialization of major research results.
On April 16, 2021, after the unveiling of the national fuel cell technology innovation center in Jinan, it entered the trial operation stage.
In more than a year of trial operation, Weichai Power has established a R & D team with independent innovation capability, built the world's largest R & D and manufacturing base for 20000 hydrogen fuel cell engines, and made a large number of breakthrough achievements with complete independent intellectual property rights in the R & D and industrialization of the fuel cell industry chain.
At present, Weifang has built five hydrogen refueling stations. After the hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles are put into use, there will be 18 special bus lines. It is the area with the densest hydrogen fuel bus lines in the world and the city with the largest number of hydrogen fuel buses in the world.
