Top 10 Countries in China's Automobile Import and Export Volume in 2021

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Automobile Industry Association, in 2021, the top 10 countries in China's total automobile imported volume were Germany, Japan, the United States, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Thailand, Hungary, Austria and Italy. Compared with 2020, the import volume of Japan and Thailand decreased, and other countries increased in varying degrees. Among them, the growth rate of Italy, Austria and Hungary exceeded 70%, which was more prominent. In 2021, China imported 921,000 complete vehicles from the above ten countries, accounting for 98.1% of the total vehicle imports.

In 2021, the top 10 countries in China's total automobile exported volume were Chile, Saudi Arabia, the Russian Federation, Belgium, Australia, Mexico, Egypt, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Compared with 2020, Bangladesh's export growth rate was slightly lower, and other countries showed significant growth, especially Belgium, Chile and the UK. In 2021, China exported 1,059,000 complete vehicles to the above ten countries, accounting for 50.0% of the total vehicle exports.
