The Production and Sales of China's Automobile Industry in July 2022

In July 2022, with the further implementation of the package economic stabilization policy, China's automobile production and sales maintained rapid growth.

In July 2022, China's automobile production and sales reached 2.455 million and 2.42 million respectively, with a month-on-month decrease of 1.8% and 3.3%, and a year-on-year increase of 31.5% and 29.7%, the growth rates both higher than that of the June.

From January to July 2022, China's automobile production and sales reached 14.571 million and 14.477 million respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 0.8% and a decrease of 2.0% in sales. Compared with that of January to June, the output growth rate changed from negative to positive, and the decline in sales continued to narrow.

In July 2022, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles reached 2.21 million and 2.174 million respectively, with a month-on-month decrease of 1.3% and 2.1%, and a year-on-year increase of 42.6% and 40.0%.

From January to July 2022, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles reached 12.645 million and 12.529 million respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 10.9% and 8.3%, and the growth rates were higher than that from January to June.

In July 2022, China’s production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 244,000 and 246,000 respectively, with a month-on-month decrease of 6.2% and 12.5%, and a year-on-year decrease of 22.9% and 21.5%, the declines were narrower than that of the June.

From January to July 2022, China’s production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 1.927 million and 1.948 million respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 36.9% and 39.3%.

In July 2022, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles continued to maintain a high-speed growth year-on-year. The production and sales reached 617,000 and 593,000 respectively, with a month-on-month increase of 4.5% and a decrease of 0.6%, and Year-on-year growths were both 1.2 times. The market share reached 24.5%, slightly higher than that of the June.

From January to July 2022, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.279 million and 3.194 million respectively, Year-on-year growths were both 1.2 times, and with a market share of 22.1%.
