Production and sales situation of China's automotive industry in January 2024

According to statistics and analysis from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, as the Spring Festival holiday approaches, promotional activities continue to take place, and the demand for car purchases before the Spring Festival has been somewhat released. In addition, the base of China's automobile production and sales in January showed a significant year-on-year increase due to the impact of the Spring Festival month and promotional policy switching in the same period last year.

In January 2024, China's automobile production and sales completed 2.41 million and 2.439 million units respectively, a decrease of 21.7% and 22.7% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 51.2% and 47.9%, respectively.

In January 2024, China's domestic sales of automobiles reached 1.996 million units, a decrease of 24.9% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 48.1%.

In January 2024, China's automobile exports reached 443,000 units, a decrease of 11.2% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 47.4%.
