According to data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers from the General Administration of Customs, in June 2023, China's automobile import performance was better than last month, with a slight increase in vehicle import volume compared to the same period last month.

In June 2023, China's total vehicle imports increased by 7.3% month-on-month and 7.7% year-on-year; The import amount of complete vehicles increased by 10.8% month-on-month and 5.3% year-on-year.

In the first half of 2023, the import volume of China's complete vehicles decreased by 22.4% year-on-year; The import amount of complete vehicles decreased by 23.8% year-on-year.

In June 2023, among the main imported varieties of automobiles, the import volume of small passenger vehicles and sedans increased compared to the previous month, while the import volume of off-road vehicles rapidly decreased; Compared with the same period last year, the import volume of sedans increased rapidly, while the import volume of small passenger vehicles and off-road vehicles decreased to varying degrees, with off-road vehicles showing a significant decrease. The three major categories of automotive products mentioned above account for 88% of the total import volume of automobiles.

In the first half of 2023, compared to the same period 2022, the import volume of sedans, off-road vehicles, and small passenger vehicles all significantly decreased. The above three major categories of automobile varieties account for 90.7% of the total import volume of automobiles.
