1. China's automobile sales increased by 32.1% year-on-year in August

In August, China's automobile production and sales were 2.395 million and 2.383 million, with a year-on-year increase of 38.3% and 32.1% respectively, the growth rate increased by 6.8 percentage points and 2.4 percentage points respectively over July.

From January to August, China's automobile production and sales were 16.967 million and 16.86 million, with a year-on-year increase of 4.8% and 1.7% respectively .

1)China's passenger vehicle sales increased by 36.5% year-on-year in August

In August, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles were 2.157 million and 2.125 million, with a year-on-year increase of 43.7% and 36.5% respectively. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of cars were 1.026 million and 0.997 million, with a year-on-year increase of 40.9% and 33.6% respectively; the production and sales of SUVs were 1.016 million and 1.014 million, with a year-on-year increase of 53.1% and 48.4% respectively; the production and sales of MPVs were 96,000 and 93,000 respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 23.7% and 6.8%; the production and sales of cross type passenger vehicles were 20,000 and 21,000, with a year-on-year decrease of 38.9% and 46.1% respectively.

From January to August, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles were 14.803 million and 14.655 million, with a year-on-year increase of 14.7% and 11.7% respectively. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of cars were 6.998 million and 6.961 million, with a year-on-year increase of 16.4% and 14% respectively; the production and sales of SUVs were 7.039 million and 6.93 million, with a year-on-year increase of 17.1% and 12.9% respectively; the production and sales of MPVs were 562,000 and 558,000 respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 10.4% and 10.5%; the production and sales of cross passenger vehicles were 202,000 and 205,000, with a year-on-year decrease of 19.3% and 18.7% respectively.

2) China's commercial vehicle sales increased by 4% year-on-year in August

In August, China's commercial vehicle production and sales were 238,000 and 258,000 , with a year-on-year increase of 3.1% and 4% respectively. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of trucks were 202,000 and 224,000, with a year-on-year increase of 4% and 6.3% respectively; the production and sales of passenger cars were 36,000 and 34,000, with a year-on-year decrease of 1.5% and 8.9% respectively.

From January to August, China's production and sales of commercial vehicles were 2.165 million and 2.206 million, with a year-on-year decrease of 34.1% and 36.2% respectively. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of trucks were 1.921 million and 1.962 million, with a year-on-year decrease of 34.9% and 37.2% respectively; the production and sales of passenger cars were 243,000, with a year-on-year decrease of 27.7% and 26.9% respectively.

2. China's new energy vehicle sales doubled year-on-year in August

In August, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles were 691,000 and 666,000, with a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times and 1 times respectively, with a market share of 27.9%. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 536,000 and 522,000, with a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times and 92.9% respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 155,000 and 144,000, with a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times and 1.6 times respectively; the production and sales of fuel cell vehicles were 97 and 255, with a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times and 5.7 times respectively.

3. China's automobile exports increased by 65% year-on-year in August

In August, China exported 308,000 complete vehicles, with a year-on-year increase of 65%. In terms of vehicle types, 260,000 passenger vehicles were exported, with a year-on-year increase of 68.7%; the export of commercial vehicles was 49,000, with a year-on-year increase of 47.5%. the export of new energy vehicles was 83,000, with a year-on-year increase of 82.3%.

From January to August, China exported 1.817 million complete vehicles, with a year-on-year increase of 52.8%. In terms of vehicle types, the export of passenger vehicles was 1.446 million, with a year-on-year increase of 56.4%; the export of commercial vehicles was 371,000, with a year-on-year increase of 40.2%. 340,000 new energy vehicles were exported, with a year-on-year increase of 97.4%.
