Some car owners are not at ease and want to go to the repair workshop to watch, keeping an eye on the entire process. In fact, most 4S dealerships do not allow car owners to enter repair workshops, just to maintain customers. Even if they enter, they will not force car owners to come out. They will only politely say, go to the lounge and wait. Some 4S stores have a large sign at the entrance of the workshop, which says that car owners are prohibited from entering the repair workshop. So why is there something fishy about the 4S dealership not wanting the car owner to watch over during maintenance?

The owner will not know if they are not nearby and watching. However, this is only the personal behavior of the repair technician, and it is not right to do so. The 4S store also does not allow it, and the probability of encountering it is extremely low.


Most of the reasons why car owners are not allowed to enter the after-sales workshop are for their own benefit. The 4S store has a standard service process, and letting customers rest in the lounge is a part of the process, which reflects the good service of the 4S store. Maintenance and repair can also provide good rest and entertainment for car owners. Secondly, there are many small cars in the workshop space, which poses a certain level of danger. If any car accidentally collides with the owner, the responsibility cannot be clearly stated. Finally, if the car owner is too close to changing the oil, it is easy for it to splash onto their body, and the responsibility cannot be explained clearly. Many car owners do not pay close attention to the car and always talk nonsense, pretending to understand the appearance of the car and saying that if something is not done well, it should not be done in this way, which leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the maintenance technicians and even does not know how to work. Simple maintenance and repairs can be seen nearby and some questions can be consulted. Complex repairs take several hours to complete, so there is generally no need to watch from the side.
