Brief Analysis of Production and Sales of China's Automobile Industry in February 2023

According to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in February 2023, due to the fact that the same period last year and January this year are both Spring Festival months, the base is relatively low, and the automobile production and sales showed significant year-on-year and month-on-month growth.

In February 2023, China's automobile production and sales completed 2.032 million and 1.976 million units respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 27.5% and 19.8%, and a year-on-year increase of 11.9% and 13.5%, respectively.

From January to February 2023, China's automobile production and sales completed 3.626 million and 3.625 million vehicles respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of  14.6% and 15.2% respectively.

In February 2023, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles completed 1.715 million and 1.653 million units respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 22.8% and 12.5%, and a year-on-year increase of 11.6% and 10.9%, respectively.

In January-February 2023, China's production and sales of passenger vehicles completed 3.112 million and 3.121 million units respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 14% and 15.2% respectively.

In February 2023, China's commercial vehicle production and sales completed 317,000 and 324,000 units, respectively, with a month-on-month increase of 61% and 79.4%, and a year-on-year increase of 13.5% and 29.1%, respectively.

From January to February 2023, China's production and sales of commercial vehicles completed 514,000 and 504,000 units respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 17.8% and 15.4% respectively.

In February 2023, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 552,000 and 525,000 units respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 30% and 28.7%, and a year-on-year increase of 48.8% and 55.9%, respectively.

From January to February 2023, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 977,000 and 933,000 units respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 18.1% and 20.8% respectively.
