So what items should be checked?

1. Tire inspection

This should be the first priority, as it has a significant impact on driving safety and can be checked by everyone without requiring any technical skills, even if you are a beginner. Check two aspects: tire pressure and whether the tires are damaged. For those with tire pressure monitoring, you can also directly check the displayed tire pressure. For those without a tire pressure gauge, use a tire pressure gauge to measure each wheel. For those without a tire pressure gauge, go to a tire shop or repair shop for inspection. The injury mainly depends on the presence of bulges and the area of cuts. The bulges are all on the side, so it is important to pay attention to them, both inside and outside. If there are scratches on the area, check from the side to see if the curtain inside is exposed. If it is not exposed, you can continue to use it. If the depth reaches the tire wear limit when viewed from the front, it can still be used. As long as the tire pressure is correct, the tire is not injured, and there is no external impact during driving, the tire will not burst.

2. Check the engine oil, coolant, and brake oil.

These can only be checked for lack, and whether to replace them depends on the mileage or time. They are routine maintenance items and do not need to be taken care of before driving on the highway. Most experienced drivers will check the oil level and pull out the dipstick. As long as the oil level is between the highest and lowest markings, it is sufficient. If it is close to the lower limit, a small amount can also be added. Check the liquid level in the kettle for coolant. There are also minimum and maximum scales on the kettle, which are between them. There is a mark on the brake oil tank, but the liquid level may not look very good. If it is not clear, you can shake the oil tank with your hand to make it easier to see when the brake oil shakes.

3. Check the glass water

This is also quite important because there is a greater chance of using it for high-speed driving. There are many small flying insects in summer, and after driving for a while, there are some dead insects attached to the windshield, which affects the line of sight. It is necessary to brush the glass with glass water to remove them. A glass kettle does not have a graduated scale, and the liquid level cannot be seen with the naked eye. You can insert a soft rubber rod or similar thing into it and pull it out to check the liquid level. If not, you can only estimate how much is left inside, or you can simply add a bottle.

4. Check the overall lighting of the vehicle

Lighting is also crucial for driving safety. The key is to check the brake lights and rear fog lights. Usually, when driving, you cannot see the lights behind you. If the front headlights are not on, you can detect them at any time, but if the brake lights are not on, it is not easy to detect them. When driving at high speeds, the most important auxiliary means to check if the front car is slowing down is to look at the brake lights of the front car. If the front brake lights are not on, the risk of rear end collision will greatly increase. Even when driving in the city, it is very dangerous if the brake lights are not on. The rear fog lights are designed to cope with rainy and foggy weather. In summer, there is more rain, and there are also more opportunities to drive on rainy days.
